How to Find Inspiration for Blog Posts

Hey guys! I have a very useful post for you guys today. I will be sharing some ways to find inspiration for different blog post topics!

Sometimes we don’t know what to post okay? I mean, this usually isn’t the only reason to not make a post, but it can certainly make us less likely to make them. Likewise, we also might come up with a topic at one point, and later it becomes irrelevant or we simply don’t want to write them. That’s okay!

In this post, I’ll be sharing some ways to find inspiration for blog posts and ways to always be inspired to make a post. I used to have trouble coming up with ideas, but now I’ve found that I seem to never have any issues coming of with 3000 post ideas.

Read other blogs

This one is huge! Now, you definitely don’t want to copy another person’s work and pass it off as your own. That is plagirizim, and it’s just plain wrong. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t read someone else’s post and think “My perspective on this might be interesting too!” You can look for inspiration throughout the blogosphere and you might be surprised at what you might find.

Keep notes of post ideas

This is very important. If you don’t keep track of your ideas, you might forget them and they’ll never get posted. Plus, I’ve found that when I write down some ideas, some more follow.

Think about things you are passionate about

Everyone is passionate about something. You just need to figure out what that is. For me, some of my topics include Marvel, Photography, Writing, Disney, Traveling, Star Wars, Music, Journaling, and Dogs. It’s very broad, but that’s some of what makes it so easy to find ideas. For example, I can easily come up with ideas for Marvel posts(Thoughts on Phase 4, Sorting Marvel Characters into Hogwarts houses, etc.) and pretty much a few things for every category. This is how to easily come up with some post ideas.

Don’t forget about seasonal posts

Seasonal posts are so nice to do. The best part is that you can pretty much always have a seasonal post. It’s really easy to do Christmas or Halloween posts or something like that, but it can take some creative thinking to come up with posts for not so commonly known holidays. For example, National Teddy Bear day was on September 9th.

Make some reviews

Reviews are really easy, and one great thing about them is that they benefit everyone. You get to write a blog post and share your opinions, and your readers can learn whether to buy or not buy a product. Just think of something you have owned or experienced that you’d like to share you’re opinion about and list all the pros and cons about it.

Create some tutorials

Whether you like graphic design, writing, baking, or something completely different, chances are there are skills that you have that you can share with your readers. Simply take pictures and explain what to do.

Do random life updates

Sometimes your readers might be okay with you venting about your life. It can be very refreshing, and it’s fun to look back on your blog and see how you’ve grown.

Come up with a series

This one is pretty easy too. Come up with a series to do every month or so about a certain topic. For example, I’ll probably do a writing series on how to make a great story.

Use outside resources

There are so many resources outside of blogging for when you don’t feel like creating all new content. Make aesthetics from Pinterest, list your playlist and why you like the songs on Spotify, a collection of memes, great posts along the blogosphere, a list of blogs that need more followers, or your favorite YouTube channels. Just be sure to give the original creators credit.

Do recaps

This is one that you can post about 24/7. Whether it’s monthly, yearly, and/or trip recaps, there will always be new content to write about. No month, year, or trip is the same.

Schedule posts!

This is such a lifesaver guys, do you know when I’m writing this? October 5th. Is it October 5th today, when you are reading this? Definitely not. If you prewrite your posts, it make it so much easier. Say you’re feeling particularly inspired to write a few different posts on one day, write all of them and schedule them! It can be very useful when you are going on vacation, are sick, or simply not in the mood to write a post.
