A Peek Into My Week

I’m sorry for that obnoxiously rhyming title, but I had to.

Hello Guardians! I recently saw this idea on Maggie’s blog, and it looked like a ton of fun! So I asked her if I could try it, and she said yes! So, here’s a look into my life…

Also, here’s a heads up, I took most of thest photos from my phone. I wanted this post to be a bit more laid back, so that’s why the quality isn’t up to par. And just remember that this is the highlights of my week. Don’t try to compare yourselves to me okay? I have plenty of bad days, but I mean, why would I share those? Just keep that in mind.

Anyway, we begin the week on Monday…

I caught up on some blog posts, one of which being Maggie’s post which inspired me to start on this post! Also, a side note, you guys have fantastic blogs! Keep up the good work.

Also on Monday, I had to drive my mom to run a few errands. I was sooooooo terrified to drive when I started out, but it’s gotten a lot better.

Tuesday

I worked on a comic for art class…more on that later, but I’m really happy with the turnout.

I also worked on this photostory for my other blog. I had a bit more of a time crunch than usual, but I still think it turned out pretty good. Check it out here!

For my mom’s birthday, my dad and I are going to re-do her room in a beach theme. So I looked a bit on Amazon for some beach decorations.

Oh yeah! I want to tell you some about what I’ve been reading this week. I’m re-reading KOTLC for my readathon, and I’m obviously enjoying that. Then, I read The Cursed Hunter by Bethany Atazadeh. It’s part of The Stolen Kingdom series which is amazing! I’m definitely enjoying that series. And I like to read eBooks at night, so currently I’m reading Little Women. That’s for a…secret collab. So more on that later.

Wednesday

I worked some more on my comic! I finished it up, and I’m really happy with it.

Do you like it? I use the Stones for school a lot.

Wednesday was also St. Patrick’s Day!

I have to include a few photos of Rocket. He’s the best part of my week!

Wednesday night, we made a fancy Dutch dinner! I thought it was cool that the carrots I was chopping matched the knife I used.

Yum, cake!

Here’s the Dutch meal! The meat is called Hachee, and the potatoes are called Hutspot. It was good, but not worth the three hours it took to cook it.

Also, look at Rocket! He was hoarding all his toys. He is a pretty spoiled dog.

Thursday

I worked on a puzzle on Thursday. I’ve forgotten how relaxing puzzles can be!

Oh yeah, it was also kinda stormy. That’s my favorite sort of weather.

Of course, I had some help with my puzzle. I have to thank the lovely Rocket!

We went out to eat on Thursday night and then went to a grocery store. Do you see this thing I saw? It’s called a Jack Fruit and it is huge. We didn’t buy it, but it certainly looks interesting.

Friday

I went through my blogging ideas and I came up with a master list on Google Docs. Needless to say, I have a lot of ideas. Also…do you see any photoshoot/photostory ideas you really like? Let me know, and maybe I’ll incorporate them!

Also related to blogging, I came up with some blogging goals. I feel that my style has sort of shifted lately, and I’ve been making blogging to stressful. After comparing tips with Maggie, (Maybe I should just title this post, “the Maggie Post” {side tangent, I had the idea one time to dedicate posts to my followers? what do we think of that?}) I came up with these goals.

Firstly, be more spontaneous. I’ve realized that my personality type craves spontaneity. Which, the way I’ve been planning my blog posts for the past year, does not allow for that. So I’m going to figure something out where I can be both consistent and spontaneous. I think these Saturday posts help a lot, obviously, seeing as you guys will see this in less than 24 hours.

Then, I want to work on blogging a bit every day. Because I love blogging, so why wouldn’t I want to work on it? Even if it’s just a simple task like replying to comments, I want to work on it some every day. To contrast that, I also have taking breaks as one of my goals. That’s because I tend to let blogging define me, and I’m more than just a blogger. So I think that I may take a week off from posting every now and then, and I’m trying to learn to be okay with that. (Seriously guys, there hasn’t been a week that I haven’t posted since May 2019. And that was just one week….)

Also, if there’s an idea that I have, most of the time, I want to go through with that no matter what. But I’m realizing that the posts I had in mind in 2018 aren’t the same posts I want to make now. So I want to really only do posts I want to make. I want to focus more on ideas, and not plans. Just because I have an idea, doesn’t mean I have to do it.

I wanna be more active in the community! I feel like I’ve been fairly good lately, but I’m looking to follow some more blogs. If I’m not already following you, comment your blog address in the comments! And if I am, comment somc of your favorite blogs!

Schedule posts a week in advance might seem somewhat restrictive. But I want to schedule them JUST a week in advance, and not like, a month. If it happens to be less than a week, that’s okay! I’m hoping that part of doing this will help open up my schedule more.

Finally, I want to organize my workspace. You guys are somewhat familiar with my studio, but it could still use some work!

Ummmmm, anyway. That was definitely a tangent. I believe this post was supposed to be about my week, so I’ll move on now.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Junket Fun Facts

To close off my Friday, we watched The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It’s kind of hard to put my thoughts together for this, because I like it, but I also really liked WandaVision at this stage of the show. So I’ll have to share my thoughts more as I go along.

We’ve also been watching some March Madness. It’s fun to watch, even if I’m not SUPER into it like some basketball fans.

Well, that was one of the most random posts you’ll ever see on this blog! Let me know if you liked it, and maybe I’ll do more sometime! I definietly won’t be doing this every week, but maybe when I have interesting stuff going on. It was pretty fun to do.

Tell me about your week! Also, give me some new blogs to follow!

  1. Hi, Diamond👋! I absolutely loved this post!💖 Maybe I’ll do a post similar to this sometime, with Maggie’s approval of course.😉

All of my favorite blogs are ones you already know about and am sure you’re following, so I’m not much help there.🤗

Also, random question. Is your adorable dog named Rocket after Rocket the raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy? Or is that just a coincidence?🙃 As soon as I saw that he was named Rocket I was like “Awwww, maybe like Rocket the Racoon!”😊

I’m so excited to watch Falcon and the Winter Soldier!😁 Especially because it was supposed to be the first MCU series, but it was postponed. I was going to watch it yesterday night when it was released, but I’m waiting to watch the two episodes with my friend next Friday.🤩 I’m so tempted to watch the first episode before I hang out with my friend!😂

I’ve also been watching a lot of March Madness, in fact, I’m watching the Drake VS USC game right now!😎 I’m also not really a huge basketball person, but I enjoy making brackets. Did you make any brackets for March Madness? I did, and I named most of them after random Marvel quotes!😂

Anyways, this post was so fun to read as always! Have a great day!🌈 Also, I’m sorry my comments are so long. If you think they’re annoying, just say so and I’ll not write long ones.❤

    1. Yay, I’m glad you enjoyed! I’d love to see it, assuming Maggie’s fine with it.

Ah, okay! I appreciate it though.

He most certainly is! His name really fits him though, so I couldn’t imagine him as anyone but Rocket. And he’s cuter than the racoon 🙂

Yes! The pilot is pretty good. It’s a lot different than WandaVision, but I won’t say anything else. I hope you have a nice time watching it with your friend!

Yes! It’s so cool. I’m watching the Oklahoma vs. Missouri game right now.

I’m glad you enjoyed! Never apologize for long comments, they’re the best! ❤

      1. ❤️Awww, Rocket is definitely the prefect name for him!😍 And I agree that he’s much cuter than a racon.🙃

Cool, I’m excited to watch it. We will!

That’s awesome! I’m watching that game now too! Isn’t that cool?🙃

I’m glad you think so! I love commenting on your amazing posts!💕

Ooh beach decor 💙 so pretty!
The comic turned out great! I love making comic strips but I’ve never made one digitally. That could be fun! 😄
    Aww Rocket! 😍
Yay for puzzles! 💕 Thomas Kinkaide puzzles are SO beautiful
Laundry day and tree house are two I’d love to see! All of those ideas are so fun and creative 😄💕
Those blog goals look awesome! I’m still evaluating mine, but I’m making progress 😂 (hehe it would be so fun if you did follower-dedicated posts!)
This comment’s gotten long lol but I’ll send you blogs I enjoy following later!
    I loved reading this!

Yup! I didn’t make the comic digitally, I just scanned it.
Yes! How’d you know it was Thomas Kinkaide?
Hehe, I’m glad! We’ll see when I get to those.
I’d love to hear about your goals when you make them. Thank you SO much for helping with mine.
No problem! Like I told Miriam, long comments are the best!
      Thank you!

I haven’t done that either, but I’m going to soon! I have a comic post in the works 😂👏
I’ve done some of his Disney art puzzles before! I did a Jungle Book one and Peter Pan one 😄
Yeah! I’ll probably write a post about them. You’re welcome! Who knew my personality series could help us out so much 😂
        Yes I agree! 🙌 you’re welcome!

  3. WHOA YOU CAN D R I V E THAT’S SO COOL
Those are some great blogging goals!! And the comics look awesome!!
Matching knife with carrots brings me j o y
Awww, Rocket’s adorable!! (Did you… Did you name him/her after Rocket Raccoon-)
So, funny story- we have alot of jackfruits where I live. They grow really well here, apparently! Anyways, maybe the ones you get there are different- but if you eat them, be WARNED. THEY. ARE. STICKY.
Oil your hands before cutting/eating them. It shouldn’t stick then!
But, they taste MUCH better in chip form. You can just put them through a slicer (thin and long works best) and deep fry them in oil! (coconut oil tastes fabulous)
Then, add salt and BAM. The best chips you’ve literally every eaten.
    Fun post!!
    stay sticky,

I can’t help you with many new blogs since we’re both following them😂 Check out What’s In My Mind if you’re not already following her. Her poetry is beautiful!
    Happy Sunday! ❤️

    1. It’s not that big…only about 500 pieces.
Thank you! The comic was fun to make, and I am happy with how it looks.
I think if you want to take a break, take one! If you don’t, then just maybe lessen your posting load.
Yeah, okay! Ooh, sounds interesting! I’ll check hers out ASAP.
      Same to you!

  5. This post was really fun to read! I mean, most of your posts are fun to read, but… you know what I mean 😭

That comic looks amazing! I’d love to see more, if y’know, you’ve made any.

I LOVE stormy weather. I wish it was stormy here. Or rainy. Or at least cool. We had the A.C on yesterday evening. THAT’s how hot it is. AND IT’S MARCH 😭😭

It’s been sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long since I did a puzzle! Yours looks really pretty 😍 I got a thousand piece one right after lockdown, and I managed to do half of it, but then.. I gave up 😭

Ah, blogging goals. I should probably set some. And make a master posts list. But (SHHHH) I’m to lazzy 😭

You’re so much more organized than me 😂😂

Ok, why has everyone so far written a long comment? I’m not apologizing, cuz like you said, long comments are the ✨best✨, but like, you mostly don’t see everyone writing a long comment. I guess it’s just the post ✨

    ~Rayna

P.S I’ve used the cry and sparkle emojis too many times 🤦‍♀️

    P.P.S 😭✨

    1. Yay! I’ll probably do another one of these then…sometime.

Thank you! I actually have a comic book series I made a few years ago that I may share on here! I also want to do a post on times I’ve used the Stones for school, but that may be on my other blog.

It was like, 80 here the other day. ugh. Now it’s like 60 though, so I can’t complain. (Also, that’s in Faherenheit btw)

Puzzles are fun! I encourage you to give your 1000 piece one another shot.

I recommend it! I did mine on Google Docs so I always have it with me, and it’s been so useful so far.

I don’t know! But I love it. Long comments make me happy, and they really help me get to know you guys!

(hehe, emojis are fun though! That’s how you can tell if I’m on my phone or computer…if there are no emojis then I’m replying from my computer.)

      1. Yess, do one!

Oh, that sounds fun 🙂 I must check it out! *epic action movie or fantasy movie music plays in background while I look for this hidden treasure!*
        *cough*

I don’t know what it is in Faherenheit, but it’s around 29 degrees Celsius right now. Though it is kinda cloudy today!

Yeah, I will do it. Eventually. 😇

Cool! I have a list in some notebook, but A. I lost it and B. I haven’t updated it in a while. Whoops.

Yesss long comments are the best 🙌

(Oh, if you’re on a Windows laptop you can click the Windows icon + the fullstop button, and the emoji thing pops up. Umm dat make sense? Probably not. Idk how to do it on a Mac)

Lemme check…80°F is about 26°C. So that’s fairly hot😥. But not too bad I guess.

        🧩🧩🧩

Yeah, so that’s why I recommend doing an online list…so you don’t lose it…🙂

(Really? I will have to try that sometime! ✨✨😛)

  6. Ah, I absolutely loved this post, Diamond! It was a lot of fun to see what your week looked like!

How did you like Little Women? I have to read it for my Literature class next week and to be honest I’m kind of dreading it, ha, ha.

The comic turned out awesome! I really like it! I’ve never tried to make one before, but I’ve thought about it. =)

Oh my goodness, Rocket was so cute. 😍😍😍 (That picture where he was hoarding his toys! 🤣) And that Dutch dinner you made looked amazing! I got hungry just looking at the picture, lol.

Puzzles are a lot of fun! Though they tend to be more stressful than relaxing for me, since I have little siblings who always want to help . . . 😕

And wow, looking at the other comments I guess this post is a magnet for long comments! Ha, ha, sorry about that! But I really enjoyed getting to see this! I would love to see more posts like this in the future!

    1. I’m really glad you enjoyed! I think I might do this again sometime since it was so popular!

I’m really enjoying it so far! I typically don’t like slow classics, but I’m loving this one. The characters are really something. You’ll have to let me know how you like it when you read it.

Thank you! I probably wouldn’t have done it if I wasn’t assigned to, but I’m glad I did! Maybe I’ll do more someday.

Yes! He’s my baby. And yeah, that was pretty good food.

They are fun! Ah, I can see that. I definitely wouldn’t like that.

Yup! I’m definitely not complaining though, I love chatting with you guys!

  8. Loved seeing your week! It was fun!

I really like your blogging goals. I don’t schedule at all except for cover reveals and blog tours stuff so very spontaneous, haha. At this point, I don’t have goals but I do have unspoken thing to blog whenever I feel like it and not force me when I can’t. It really helps to value the enjoyment of it then making it like a chore.

I could recommend a few blogs if you still want them, but I have noticed that you have been around on a lot of the blogs I follow recently. I don’t know if you have been looking at the blog list I made in my 2020 wrap-up…

    1. Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed.

That’s nice! I know for me I need to stick to a certainn schedule if I’m going to post all the things I want to, so I do typically schedule things in advance. But I kind of want to take a step back from blogging in May.

Okay! I’ll check out that list.

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Oh, that’s fair and makes a lot of sense! (This is why I thought you were organised, haha.) I’m terrible with scheduling things which is why I generally don’t do it. That sounds like a really good idea. I knew I needed to do a hiatus for a month to refresh myself and not let blogging be a chore and not burn myself out when I just wanted to relax during that month.

What? You haven’t been looking at that list? *Mind-blown* We just happen to follow a lot of the same people. 0_0 (I don’t why I am so surprised. I just am.)

Also, I always forget to mention how I love your profile picture! ❤ (not months late to tell you that. XD)

  9. I loved reading this post, diamond! ❤ you should make this a series!
I'm going through blogs I've missed reading, and I found a picture of rocket in the featured image and just had to read this one😂

You're like, such an organized and productive person, unlike me😪
I really liked the comic piece, and I love how you have everything planned for your blog!
I should start doing that. Remember when you said you thought a lot of my blog posts seems unplanned? well its kind of true, and I need to change that and have a takeaway for my posts. It's not that easy though.

And I'm doing a puzzle too! it's 500 pieces, and I don't know where to start. it seems impossible xD and it stresses me out too-

ROCKET <333 he's soooooooooo adorableee!!! and that dinner took 3 hours? wow.
also, I have seeen that fruit! I see it quiite often, some people in my family like to eat it. I dont.
    great post! 😀

Haha, maybe it looks that way online, but irl? I don’t think so.
      Thanks!

Yeah I remember saying that and I still feel kinda bad about it. I didn’t mean it in a bad way. It’s definitely not easy, I mean, it took years for me to get a handle on blogging.

Ooh, puzzles are so fun! Keep at it, and you’ll get there.

Really? It must be more popular in other countries then. I’d like to try it someday.
      Thanks!

And don’t feel bad about that! I am taking your advice, and I know you didn’t mean it in a bad way😂 you’re good👍
that’s true, you’ve been blogging for a long time and I’ve not for even a complete year, so I guess that kind of makes sense.

        Yep! I figured I’d do a smaller puzzle first,so I’m doing a 100 piece puzzle now 😉

        Yeah!
        You’re welcome 😊
