Hi diamonds…
So, it has recently come to my attention that I was hosting a contest during my hiatus. Oops.
I’ve been hosting a few contests for Camp Happy Heart, so it’s kind of slipped my mind. And I don’t know what prize to give out. Ideas are welcome in the comments.
Anyway, today I’ll be sharing the entries! I got three entries, one from Maggie, one from Jehosheba, and one from Alexa. I’ll work something out with prizes later (maybe the prize can be a collab with me for my 3 participants?)
Enjoy these 3 lovely short stories!

Maggie’s Entry
“Are you sure about that?”
The guy grinned.
“You can’t prove it.”
“This is a loop.”
“You can’t prove it.”
The guy grinned.
“Are you sure about that?”
Alexa’s Entry
He knew he must keep very still while he waited. It would only be a matter of time until the opera ended and Finley would walk down the street in her white ball gown. It was only a matter of time until he had to lift his rifle from his spot in the window and shoot her.
They’d been planning this ambush for months now. There wouldn’t be another time when Finley was unguarded. He checked. Multiple times. Her bodyguards would be surrounding her at all times especially since The Crowning was coming up. And he couldn’t let her be crowned. He couldn’t let a Majic run the kingdom.
He had to do this. He had to kill her.
Only if she didn’t use her powers to kill him first.
Jehosheba’s Entry
It was the third week she had been coming, but from the start, Thomas knew one thing. She was a writer.
He had gotten more weirdos in his coffee shop than he could count. One time a middle-aged man—with more tattoos than there were coffee beans in the café—came storming in and demanded a chai latte. Tom had been intimidated at first, but Tattoo Man ended up being the most interesting customer he had had in weeks.
Another time, a young woman with a stack of papers nervously wandered around the shop for two hours and ordered exactly six cups of coffee before she worked up enough courage to ask if she could hang a poster in his window. He had said yes, of course. He always said yes.
But a writer? It had been a while since he’d gotten one of those. Out of all the people who came to his coffee shop, the writers were the most interesting to watch. Maybe it was because he felt like they were watching him too.
“You need anything, Miss?” He asked, grabbing a plate off the table.
She glanced up quickly. Confusion—followed by an embarrassed look of recognition—flooded her face, and then she grinned. “No, I’m good.”
Tom nodded.
“Wait,” she said as he began to walk towards the kitchen, “Just curious . . . you wouldn’t happen to have come from a tragic past would you?”
Tom laughed awkwardly. “Not . . . particularly. Why?”
She shrugged. “Ah, I was just writing something and—” She waved her arm. “Never mind.”
Tom nodded again and began walking towards the kitchen. On the way, he caught a glimpse of her computer screen. At the top of the document, he read four words:
The Coffee Shop Owner
Tom smiled.

Ta-da! Weren’t those great? Give me ideas of what I can gift these lovely ladies as a prize in the comments!

P.S. For my blogiversary I’ll be reacting to old posts! I want you guys to look through my archives and pick posts for me to react to! The earlier the better!
I like all of them, but I think Alexa’s is my favorite 😉

Yeah you totally can! Don’t bother giving me credit though, I didn’t come up with the idea. I really don’t know who did. I’d love to see that though!
