Productive Autumn Day in the Life

Heya diamonds!

Today is Monday, September 13th, 2021. But you guys won’t be seeing this until Saturday the 25th. Anyway, the point of me sharing the date is that today I documented my life today!

I’ve always kind of wanted to do a Day in the Life post. But like, my life is pretty boring?

Anyway, yesterday I just decided, why not? Worst case scenario is that this post flops. But I’m sure at least a few of you will like it and I enjoyed making it. That’s all that really matters.

Also, taking pictures and stuff kind of kept me accountable. I wouldn’t want to be like, “here’s a day in my life, I stayed in bed all day!” heh heh.

Without further ado, I give you…a productive fall day in my life.

We begin the day bright and early at 8 A.M.

I mean, I don’t have to be up super early. Plus I’m a night owl who gets all her best work done at night. So I sleep in a little.

Anyway, I started off my day with reading this letter I wrote to myself last night. I think I mentioned the concept in an earlier post, but basically it’s like a to-do list. And you’re like, “Dear myself in the morning, I hope you’re doing well…”

I don’t know. I guess it sounds a little weird. But I saw the idea online and it looked like it would be interesting to try out for a week. This is that week.

After I read my letter, I ate some breakfast. I just had this croissant sandwich from Walmart.

Okay, after breakfast it’s time for the daily grind of schoolwork.

*yawns*

At least I have a cute class pet.

After a couple hours of textbook work, I needed a break. Meaning, time to switch to my computer classes…

After working on the computer classes, I then take a real break. That means it’s time for chores! Yay! And not even the fun ones. I started out with some sweeping. I almost hate that one the most. I just prefer vacuuming, what can I say?

Oh joy, time for dishes! That’s the chore I hate the most…

Finally, I can eat my lunch. This is leftover chicken noodle soup that I made last night. It was very good.

Lunch is over, and it’s once again time to get back to my textbooks.

I also worked on some more computer classes.

It’s at about 2 P.M. where my brain begins to lose functionality. So time for more chores! These ones aren’t so bad. I began by cleaning out the refrigerator.

And more dishes to wash…fun.

I did some more small tasks, but nothing significant.

After 45 minutes of chores, it’s time to get ready. There are a few things we need from the store today.

Fifteen minutes later, I drive off.

First stop? Hobby Lobby. Did I really need anything from Hobby Lobby? No. But I wanted to look at the fall decor and I think I’m allowed to have a little fun in my day.

Also, I swear half the store was already filled with Christmas decor. I’m not sure how I feel about that.

Hobby Lobby Haul!

Time for a small break from my day. Here are the things I bought from Hobby Lobby!

Firstly, leaves. They were pretty and cheap, and that’s why I bought them.

IMG-4108

Yarnnnnnnnnn

I love these colors so much. And they were on sale. I want to make some fall decor with them and some fall clothes for the bears with this yarn.

IMG-4109

I got this little sign for the bear’s house.

IMG-4110

Then I got this little pumpkin spice scented packet of um…scents.

IMG-4111

Finally, I allowed myself one Christmas thing. I got these dog stickers! There’s even a dachshund one in tht top right corner!

C4574C0F-08DC-40E1-8F0F-303867DEB429

Now we return to my day. I went to Walmart, getting mostly things that were on my list.

IMG-4098

However, I also got these fun fall baking mixes. I can’t wait to make them.

IMG-4099

I got some reusable straws.

these are really the things I get excited about now. What has my life come to?

IMG-4106

Finally, I got these lovely fall flowers from Walmart. They were 97c, and not very good quality. I’ve already had to throw out the stem because the flowers kept falling off.

Back to the day. After I put the groceries away, it was time to start on dinner. Luckily, the chicken was already cooked, so all I had to do is shred the chicken and add the other ingredients.

8D2289F6-6B17-428A-BE74-5222DC46168A

Okay, since dinner is in the oven, I read a bit.

This book here, What Once Was Mine by Liz Braswell is AMAZING! I bought it the other day…and paid full price. But it was signed and it came with a freebie, so whatever. It’s SUCH a good book!

Dinner is served! I made this chicken and rice casserole and it was amazing!

After dinner, I got a package from Amazon. It was these fall pillow covers! That then inspired me to decorate the house for fall.

The Thanksgiving Dachshund!

Here are the rest of the fall decorations!

After decorating, I had some homeade ice cream. I made it yesterday and I don’t think it’ll last much longer…it’s very good.

F7427025-C16C-4F57-97EA-400315A176C3

8 P.M.. Now I decide to crochet some clothes for the bears while watching TV with my dad.

696C2EBC-D2F2-47E5-AE7A-24826CBAE925

At 9, we all head off to bed. But like I said earlier, I’m a night owl. I only had about 80 pages left of my book, so I set my mind to finish it.

And I did. It was so amazing! I definitely recommend.

After I finished my book, it was time to journal.

857A171B-4DA6-40E7-94BA-3377CC0C8436

Then it’s blog time! I replied to comments, read some of your posts, and now I’m typing up this post.

And….now I’m off to bed. Goodnight y’all!

I hope you all liked coming along with me as I went about my day! Thanks for reading!

What’s a typical day in your life like?

    1. Ahh, I mean, this was *definitely* one of my more productive days. I’m not normally quite so productive.

Ooh, that’ll be fun! What’s your blog link again?
(and technically, I’ve been procrastinating this one since 2019…)

Those fall decorations are SO CUTE!!!! It makes me want to decorate now!!!

Are you homeschooled? Or is your school just online? Just curious 🙃

I’VE BEEN DYING TO MAKE HOMEMADE ICE CREAM!!!!! My sisters and I asked if we could drive to the store to get the ingredients but my mom said no… she’s a little overprotective sometimes with driving heh…

      1. Haha, thank goodness for that! I was very worried.

Yes! *pulls out all the decorations* *room is covered in fall decor and Chloe’s-Crazy-Decorationing-ness cause that’s a word now* 😂 😉

Oh that’s so cool! I kinda wish I was sometimes but no, I’m not. Honestly though, school takes up sooooooo much of my time! And the homework is just… *sighs* I won’t burden you with my ranting XD.

Oh, well guess what? We ended up actually making homemade ice cream the other day! We used our horchata from Cafe Rio and it was really good! It was very time consuming, but it was all very worth it!

Oh good, because this ones kind of another long one 😂

    1. Awww, thank you! I’m really glad.

Okay…how about…if you don’t make a day in the life post soon, I will make everyone wait longer for episode 7 of Aftershock(and episode 6 ends with a particularly fun cliffhanger)…and then everyone will be mad with you. 🙂
